Fire Training Center
The Robinette Fire Training Center (RFTC) was established in 2011. In partnership with the College of DuPage, the Illinois State Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), and the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Department, our facility is one of only a handful of burn centers in the Chicagoland metro area licensed by the state.
We are proud to play an important role in training future fire investigators.

Past Training
The RFTC has served investigators as well as private industry since 2011. These include:
- Training fires for fire investigators around the world attending the international IAAI conference
- Groundbreaking research for camera systems in fire investigation with the Illinois State Police
- Training for insurance claims adjusters in fire behavior
- Training by law firms to familiarize attorneys with fire behavior
